1. Who we are

Pre-cruit is a one-way asynchronous video interview platform that helps employer organizations screen job candidates. Thinktank Ventures LLP is the data controller for information collected through recruiter and team-member accounts. When you participate in an interview as a candidate, your data is processed on behalf of the employer organization that invited you.

2. Information we collect

We collect the following categories of information:

• Google account information (recruiters and team members). If you sign in with Google OAuth, we collect your Google profile information and email address for authentication purposes only. We use this information to create and secure your account, identify you within the Service, and communicate with you about your account.
• Email authentication. If you sign in with a one-time email code, we collect and use your email address for authentication and account management.
• Recruiter and organization data. When you create an organization or position, we collect information you provide such as organization name, job titles, interview questions, and candidate invitations (including candidate names and email addresses).
• Interview recordings and responses. Pre-cruit collects, processes, and safely stores user-submitted video and audio recordings for asynchronous job interviews, along with qualifying question responses. These recordings and responses are shared exclusively with the respective employer organization managing the position.
• Technical and usage data. We may collect standard log and device information (such as browser type, IP address, and timestamps) to operate, secure, and improve the Service.

3. Google user data

When you choose to sign in with Google, Pre-cruit accesses Google user data — specifically your profile information and email address — solely to authenticate your identity and manage your account. We do not use Google user data for advertising, profiling, or purposes unrelated to providing the Service.

Pre-cruit's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

You may revoke Pre-cruit's access to your Google account at any time through your Google Account permissions settings. Revoking access may limit your ability to sign in with Google.

4. How we use information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, operate, and maintain the Service;
• Authenticate users and manage accounts;
• Enable employers to invite, review, and evaluate candidates;
• Store and deliver interview recordings to the relevant employer organization;
• Send transactional communications (such as interview invitations and completion notices);
• Protect the security and integrity of the Service; and
• Comply with applicable legal obligations.

5. How we share information

With employer organizations. Candidate interview recordings, qualifying responses, and related metadata are shared exclusively with the employer organization that created the position and invited the candidate.

With service providers. We use trusted infrastructure and service providers (such as hosting, storage, email delivery, and authentication providers) who process data on our behalf under contractual obligations to protect it and use it only for the purposes we specify.

We do not sell your data. Pre-cruit does not sell personal information or interview recordings to third parties.

Legal requirements. We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Pre-cruit, our users, or others.

6. AI and automated processing

Pre-cruit does not use candidate video or audio recordings to train artificial intelligence or machine learning models. We do not perform automated scoring, ranking, or hiring decisions on candidate submissions. Interview content is provided to employer organizations for human review.

7. Data retention

We retain account and interview data for as long as necessary to provide the Service, fulfill the purposes described in this policy, and comply with legal obligations. Employer organizations may retain candidate data according to their own policies and applicable law.

8. Data security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal information and interview recordings against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Your rights and account deletion

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal information, or to object to certain processing.

To request deletion of your account and associated personal data, contact us at kartik@thinktank-ventures.com. We will process verified requests in accordance with applicable law. Candidates invited by an employer should also contact that organization regarding interview recordings held on their behalf.

10. International transfers

Your information may be processed and stored in countries other than your own. Where required, we take steps designed to ensure appropriate safeguards for cross-border data transfers.

11. Children

The Service is not directed to individuals under the age of 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have collected information from a child, please contact us at kartik@thinktank-ventures.com.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised policy on this page and update the “Last updated” date. Material changes may be communicated through the Service or by email where appropriate.
